Hi there! My name is Kelly Pickering, and I am a local mental health therapist that serves in the Topeka, Kansas area. I work primarily with children and adolescents ages 4-18, as well as young adults and adults. I hold a masters of the arts in forensic mental health counseling from John Jay College of Criminal justice located in NYC. I am a CMHC (clinical mental health counselor) in the state of Utah, as well as an LCPC (licensed clinical professional counselor) in good standing with the state of Kansas. I can provide therapy services in the states of Utah or Kansas via telehealth, or in person in Topeka Kansas. I tailor your treatment to your needs, and what would best suit you based on what outcomes you are looking to achieve.

I firmly believe that no matter how low life takes us we can still find our hope and anchor to it. I am so glad you have made the choice to better yourself. I understand that therapy is not an easy choice to seek, and I want you to know how proud I am of you for even just taking the time to consider coming in for treatment. Many say that my therapy approach is warm, inviting, sate, and engaging. I like to joke with my younger clients that I am a therapy ninja, and can utilize just about anything and help to turn into a therapy tool. I have used things such as art, music, and many other tools to help my clients learn positive coping skills. I understand that each person is unique and no two treatments will look the same. Therefore I tailor your treatment to your needs, and what would best suit you based on what outcomes you are looking to achieve.
